The 10u Landshark Team Had an amazing weekend this past Saturday and Sunday. We started Saturday out with a 5-4 win over the Walkersville Lions. The boys played a good game to get the win.The second game was a 9-7 loss to the CD Storm from Harrisburg. We were down by 7 runs early and fought back to give our selves a chance and just fell short.
We went into Sunday as the fourth seed out of 7 teams. Our first game was an 8-3 win over the CD Storm . With tough defense and strong pitching from Bradyn Redding and Ty King we help them down. Mason Weaver hit his first of 3 Home Runs on the day. Our semifinal game was an 8-5 win over the top seeded Mason Dixon Ruffnecks. Bradyn Redding, Mason Weaver and Ty King did pitched another tough game to get us the win. Mason Weaver had his second Home Run of the day. The finals game was a rematch of Saturdays first game against the Walkersville Lions. But oh my was it a totally different game. Our boys showed up in a big way. Austin Black and Mason Weaver held them to 2 base runners for the game. There was some super defense behind our pitchers that made some Major League plays. Our hitting wasn't to shabby either, every player contributed. But the 3 Home Runs over the Fence by Cameron Tyson, Bradyn Redding and Mason Weaver were the high light. The final score was 13-0 in 5 innings. As i have stated in past tournament postings our boys are improving every tournament. That is what led to our first Championship for our team. As everyone on this team knows it will be the first of many to come.
What a great way to end the tournament season. All 11 players on this team had a great season and deserves a congratulations when you see them. The coaching staff is ecstatic with this season and doesn't want it to end. We have the greatest parents and fans a team could ask for. Thanks for a great season boys and congratulations.
